Minute's Silence for Columbian Plane Crash Victims

4 months ago By Chloe Longdon

All matches this weekend will feature a minute's silence for the victims of the Columbian plane crash.

Following a proposal from the FIFA president, it has been agreed that a minute's silence should be held at every football match this weekend in memory of the plane crash in Colombia last Monday which, among others, claimed the lives of players and officials of the Brazilian football club Associacao Chapecoense de Futebol. It has also been agreed that all players should be requested to wear black armbands to commemorate this tragic accident, which has touched the entire football world.

We hope all SCWGL teams will acknowledge these marks of respect and we wish you all the best of luck for your matches.
