Club HistoryWalton FC was formed in 1895, and in 1945, following World War II, amalgamated with Hersham F.C. to form Walton & Hersham F.C., the present club. The junior section of the club was formed in 2014 in partnership with SkillZone Soccer, providing local grass roots footballers with the chance to learn and enjoy the game. Walton & Hersham Football Club are looking to get as many children in the Surrey area playing football

Club PhilosophyWe believe that players of all abilities should have the opportunity to play team football. We coach our footballers to play with a smile, make their own decisions, take on opponents where appropriate and learn from their experiences. We encourage players to be confident and positive in possession and play out from the back. We encourage good movement and rotation of positions in attack. We work hard to win the ball back when we lose possession. We value teamwork alongside individual achievement. We play football in all areas of the pitch and attack and defence are everyone’s responsibility. We love to win, but also know we can learn just as much on the days that we don’t. Our players respect themselves, each other, their opponents, their coaches and referees. Our players parents understand that long term development is more important than any one game, goal, match or competition
