Club History | The club was started over 28 years ago by a small group of parents who wanted to give the opportunity for under 11’s to play football on Saturday mornings. Initially teams played local friendly matches but as the club grew over the years teams were entered in both the Tadworth League and the FA accredited Epsom and Ewell League. We now have over one hundred and twenty players registered with the club, and in 2020 / 2021 entered twelve teams into the Epsom and Ewell League. The dedicated girls squad began training in September 2019 and in 2021/22 we entered our first girls team into the Surrey County Womens and Girls League. |
Club Philosophy | Walton Warriors is a small community football club based in Walton-on-the-Hill. The club has a strong link to the local school and helped fund and build the pavilion at Breech Lane in memory of a former player and pupil. Most of the current players go to Walton-on-the-Hill Primary School, though the club has a number of other players from different schools in the local area. The main objective of the club is to encourage boys and girls to enjoy playing football and to develop their skills. The club prides itself on the time and effort of the parents and a small team of volunteers all based around Walton-on-the-Hill. Without their support the club would not exist. |
