Course Details: Awarded by The FA, this short 3 hour course provides club representatives, coaches, referees and volunteers with an awareness of best practice in safeguarding children in football. The course supports The FA’s strategic goal to raise standards across the game. The FA Safeguarding Children Workshop is designed for anyone that works with young people. Focused on making football safe, the course will help you learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse, while understand fears involved in these concerns.
Course Description: For everyone who works with young people, this workshop focuses on making football safe. The course teaches our football workforce to promote best practice to protect young people. Candidates will learn how to recognise signs and symptoms of abuse, and understand fears involved in these concerns.
Course Outcomes: The workshop will raise your awareness and specifically help you to be able to:
- Identify and build on best practice in football
- Recognise signs of abuse and identify what behaviour causes concern
- Identify the actions to take if you have a concern and who can help
- Develop your action plan for change

Terms & Conditions: This Course is offered at a subsidised fee of £5.00 and is booked on the understanding that, should a Participant fail to attend any part of the Course or fail to fully complete the Course as advised by the FA Tutor, the Club to which the Participant is attached will be responsible for paying the FULL cost of the course (£30.00)
Clubs will be invoiced via Prawn Sandwich & Payments must be made via BACS within 7 days of receipt of Invoice. Places are limited, so in the first instance, we will be offering ONE place per Club on a first come/first served basis
