Dear Club Secretaries,

On behalf of the SCWGL Management Committee, could you please remind all team managers, assistants and parents that no weekends are free throughout the season unless a 27 day request has been submitted and approved by the relevant fixture secretary.

With the bad weather it is necessary for Fixture Secretaries to move fixtures around in order to ensure that all fixtures can take place before the season ends on the 12th May 2019. Fixture Secretaries may also need to organise double headers and/or midweek fixtures to accommodate the league programme, as per league rules.

It is the responsibility of Clubs to check fixtures on Prawn Sandwich, Fixture Secretaries do not have to email teams when changes are made. Managers and/or Assistants must check Prawn Sandwich for the up-to-date position as fixtures can change on a weekly or even daily or hourly basis!

If teams have fixtures which are moved around, they are given double headers and/or midweek fixtures, please remind your managers, assistants and parents that this is only done because it is absolutely necessary. Fixture Secretaries are following league rules, which teams should also be doing.

Please remind your managers, assistants and parents of the following relevant league rules:

Fixtures
Fixtures can be organised by Fixture Secretaries up to 8pm five days before a match i.e. if a fixture is taking place on a Sunday, then the Fixture Secretary has until 8pm on Tuesday preceding the Competition Match.
